Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026

PasteShield processes text, images, and PDFs on your device. PasteShield does not upload your content, operate a content-processing server, create an account, show advertising, track you, or use your content for analytics or model training.

Information PasteShield stores

PasteShield stores the status of your lifetime purchase, your remaining free uses, display preferences, completion of the privacy introduction, and terms you explicitly add to Always Hide. Always Hide terms are stored locally with iOS file protection. PasteShield does not keep a history or internal library of protected content.

Active PDF working copies are stored temporarily with complete file protection and excluded from backup. They are removed when the workflow ends, is cancelled, fails, or is recovered after an interrupted session. PasteShield never modifies the original PDF.

Apple services

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. PasteShield reads the verified StoreKit entitlement on the device and does not send purchase information to a developer server. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Choosing a photo, file, or contact uses Apple’s system interfaces and occurs only after you request it. PasteShield reads clipboard content only when you tap Paste Text; it does not monitor the clipboard.

Your control

Closing a result removes the active session and temporary content. You can review and delete every Always Hide term in Settings. Deleting PasteShield removes its locally stored app data according to iOS behavior.

Detection limitations

Automatic detection can miss private information or select information that is not private. Review the protected result before sharing. PasteShield does not guarantee anonymity, complete detection, or legal or regulatory compliance.
